SeaWorld Update: Antarctica... from Above (PART 1)

Hello there landlubbers, and welcome to a new SeaWorld Orlando photo-report. As always, we have got a lot of new things to report to you (otherwise we wouldn't post photo-updates, would we?), so let's start right now:

First of all, the flower pots located near the entrance of the park seem to have been all temporarily removed:

Moving on into the park:

As always, here you are some mandatory Manta photos:

Let's enter into Manta's very own aquarium:

Fantastic theming:

We were looking for the little Weedy Sea Dragons that were recently born in the park, but we didn't see them:

Another quick look at the repainted ship located in the Sea Lion & Otter Stadium:

The ship now also features a new logo of the show:

It is now time for some Antarctica photos (and they are a LOT!). These were taken from the ground:

As you can see, the existing building now has a huge new steel structure attached to it:

I still cannot believe that this area will open next spring!:

The former restaurant has been completely gutted:

...and the "Friends of the Wild" gift shop is also being completely re-purposed:

Notice the new foundations:

A new QR code has been attached to the temporary walls:

  2. The new Pirate ship is soooo ugly.

  3. Those are pics of the green Leafy Sea Dragon, not the brownish Weedy Sea Dragons that recently had babies. They are in adjacent but separate tanks.

  4. I have to agree, the new Pirate Ship for Sealion looks horrid and tacky as hell. I don't even understand why they repainted it, that show should be scheduled to move anytime now. The Sealion shows normally rotate parks every 10 years, "Pirate Island" has been with Orlando for well over that now.
