Disney Movie Summer Games: Daily Update (July 30)
Enjoy today's update on the Olympic Summer Games, presented by Disney Family Movies:

Monday, July 30th DFM Summer Games Update: What stories from the weekend in London! Sunday saw Team US swimmer Dana Vollmen set a world record in her 100 meter preliminary, despite losing her swim cap (on Twitter: @danavollmer), and Michael Phelps failing in his quest for a 2012 gold medal as Team France defeated golden boy Ryan Lochte and Team USA (who took silver). We saw Spain shockingly shut out of soccer (a/k/a football), and Team USA in both men and women's volleyball looking at the top of their game (on Twitter: @USA_Volleyball). Sometimes, though, the not all stories at the Games have fairytale endings , and it was hard to top the sadness of gymnast Jordan Weiber (on Twitter @jordyn_weiber) and British marathoner Paula Radcliffe, neither of whom will move forward for very different reasons. But as with all good Summer Games stories, it's hard not to praise their incredible spirits!
Monday brings medal events in men's diving; women's fencing; judo; shooting; weightlifting; the men's team final in gymnastics, in which Team USA looks very strong; and, perhaps most excitingly, more swimming, with the men's freestyle and the women's backstroke. Here come more great Summer Games stories!
