Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station Now Open
Magic Kingdom Guests can now cool off in the newest part of Storybook Circus, the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station. This circus-themed water play area features Casey Jr., the little locomotive from the 1941 animated classic “Dumbo,” who has pulled into New Fantasyland with wagons carrying monkeys, camels, elephants and more. The menagerie is at the ready to provide a little squirt of relief from the Florida heat, all in a colorful and fun environment.
For our Guests’ convenience, a new merchandise cart is also now open in Storybook Circus, featuring an assortment of products to complement the water play area like sun block, hats and beach towels.
Also, nearby at Dumbo the Flying Elephant, construction walls have been adjusted to reveal the second attraction. Although it is not yet planned to operate for our Guests, there may be intermittent testing as we continue preparing for it to open by July.

It sure looks wonderful! The only thing that doesn't seem right is that fence around Casey's locomotive. We understand that it has been installed to stop children from climbing over it, but it may have been thematically better to add a couple of doors on the locomotive itself, maybe. All in all, this is another absolutely fantastic area that we certainly look forward to see.

This area looks great. I love the detail. But the fence is just weird. I'd bet it was a last minute fix after the lawyers saw it--but perhaps they can come up with a better solution that's isn't so visually appalling.
ReplyDeleteI have asimple question: Who is Casey Jr. in Disney History???
ReplyDeleteOk, i can answer to myself.... Casey Jr. is the circus train in Dumbo story. in Italy is caled Casimiro!
ReplyDeleteLET THE FENCE GO! I have seen numerous complaints about it...if you don't like it, don't look at it!!! Most of the people complaining would also be first to complain about their child getting hurt on the fenced off area...This is not directed specifically to you Anonymous #1

That fence definitely looks ugly and does not fit in with the theme. Whatever the issues are they needed to be fixed before opening the attraction. This is after all Disney and attention to detail is expected. This kind of quick fix belongs in some traveling amusement park but not in a billion dollar theme park like the Magic Kingdom. Disney should not lose focus on what makes their theme parks the best in the world, impeccable theming.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest (5) will just view that fence as a challenge
ReplyDeleteUgly fence and cramped pucking circusanimals in chages. The Donald Duck ply area was awesome, this is just not Disney worthy.
