Fun Spot America's Expansion Continues & More
The official Facebook page of Fun Spot America (that is the new name for Fun Spot Action Park in Orlando, for those not familiar with the latest news about the park) now includes some new photos that confirm that the park's expansion has finally begun. Take a look (all photos belong to Fun Spot America):
The truck transporting pieces of the park's new SkyCoaster has arrived:
The new carousel is already taking shape:
In addition to that, Fun Spot U.S.A. (the Kissimmee park) will also soon receive its very own wooden coaster! This was revealed by the park just a few days ago. Here's a photo of the proposed layout:
Of course, this wooden coaster has not yet been officially approved (no opening date or budget seem to have been established yet), but we will continue to keep you up-to-date. Stay tuned.

That wooden coaster looks great! Reminds me of the classic coasters of the first golden age (1910's to 1930's). Should be a perfect addition to their park.
ReplyDeleteFun Spot have the right idea! woodies are fun and pretty sparse in central Florida so would definitely be a boost for both parks.
ReplyDeleteregardless of which attractions fun spot decide upon, it is refreshing to see that they are not content to rest on their laurels, and are willing to constantly look for ways to expand and improve their parks.
Here's a more up-to-date version of the new park model:

Thank you for sharing that image, Mr. Tuten!
ReplyDeleteI only have one question. We noticed that the famous Fun Spot Ferris Wheel is no longer located above the new entrance building. Was that plan cancelled because the project was deemed unfeasible?
Thanks again for taking the time to add your input to our post.
Hey,
ReplyDeleteThe building will be engineered and built ready to accept a new Ferris Wheel in the future.
Thanks, Patrick Tuten
