Downtown Disney Update: Volcano Taking Shape
The Marketplace area of Downtown Disney is currently receiving quite a few interesting refurbishments that will certainly make the area look even better. Let's take a look around this area (we will look at the other two areas in another occasion, since very few things are actually happening there):

In multiple media outlets, including the Disney Blog, it has been mentioned that expansion plans for Hyperion Wharf are on hold as the concept is re-imagined. Bob Iger had told WDI to go back to the drawing boards and think much, much bigger in terms of concept. WDW Resort Leaders were strong-armed into WDI's Hyperion Wharf idea knowing that the real estate market at the time was in the tank, and they'd be hard pressed finding as many tenants as they would need. So whether it be the amphitheater or restaurants, they are all on hold until a cohesive theme and idea is bought off by TWDC, WDW and WDI.
