Starbucks Coming to Disney Parks
Today, we’re excited to officially announce plans to bring your favorite Starbucks drinks and food items to all of our theme parks at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.
In June, the first of six planned Starbucks locations is scheduled to open at Disney California Adventure park. And more locations are planned at Disneyland park and Walt Disney World Resort (Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom).
The Starbucks locations inside our parks will be designed to fit the theme of their surroundings. At Disney California Adventure park, Starbucks will be located in the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café on Buena Vista Street, a place that transports guests to 1920s Los Angeles, when Walt Disney arrived in California and a cup of coffee was the perfect way to jumpstart a busy day. The store’s location plays off the Spanish/Mexican architecture of the period, and baristas will wear 1920s-inspired attire.
The café will serve Starbucks items, including coffee and espresso beverages, Frappuccino® blended beverages, and signature breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Guests also will have their choice of Disney favorites, including signature sandwiches and other items, as well as delicious desserts and sweet treats.
Let us know what you’ll be ordering in the comments.

Many people around the United States (and the world) love Starbucks, so this can be considered a very good news. But, what do you think? Is it a good move to start introducing third-party businesses in the parks, even though they would still be under the control of the Walt Disney Company? Share your thoughts with us.
Starbucks and Walt Disney Co both have very high standards in terms of their requirements for guest experience. They also both are the best at their industry...theme parks & Coffee. The fact that these shops will be themed to the surrounding areas, I think it will be a welcomed addition to the Parks. I certainly doubt that these will be cookie cutter Starbucks like around the world, each restaurant will have a story to go along with.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your opinion with us, Anonymous. We certainly agree with you. These new in-park locations will be great, especially since they will fit the theme of the surrounding areas, like you said.
ReplyDeleteI am super thrilled about this....my husband says as long as they keep the stuff at the Main Street Bakery we are good :O) We are big fans of the bakery as well!!! :O)
ReplyDeleteI don't mind third party food/drink vendors. I still miss McDonald's fries in fantasyland!
ReplyDelete"Is it a good move to start introducing third-party businesses in the parks, even though they would still be under the control of the Walt Disney Company?"
ReplyDeleteDisney's history is littered with examples of third-party businesses and sponsorships (the Orange Bird and Sunshine Tree Terrace and just about all of the original EPCOT Center are good examples), so as long as Starbucks continues its high standards, this is a good deal.
Disney could probably learn a lot from the training and standards Starbucks demands from its employees.
