Islands of Adventure Update - Spiderman's Rehab
Hello Orlando Theme Park News readers! Welcome to a new, quick Islands of Adventure update, which includes a look at the currently closed Amazing Adventures of Spiderman Ride as it gets upgraded. Let' see:
Yes, we knew that, didn't we?:
The wait times for the evening were not bad at all:
The Incredible Hulk Coaster:
The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman ride is currently closed for a refurbishment that will enhance the entire ride's feel and look. It will actually "feel like an entirely new experience" according to Universal:
The front facade of the ride's building is missing something:
Oh, that's right. Spiderman is missing:
Some nice, themed signs have been posted on the walls:
Some of the many villains that Spidery has to face:
Nothing is going on in the exterior queue area:
A look at the building from across the lagoon:
The water fountain located in front of the entrance to Toon Lagoon (coming from MARVEL's Island) is finally receiving a refurbishment:
It was really about time. The water feature has not been working for weeks:
A quick look behind the walls:
A nice reference to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad:
This themed water feature is currently being refurbished as well:
Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls looks good:
Most of the effects seemed to be working:
Let's venture inside Jurassic Park:
The Natural Selection snack cart has recently been refurbished:
Jurassic Park River Adventure is now back in operation after its minor seasonal refurbishment:
The model of Isla Nuba has been refurbished:
Splash!:
Triceratops Discovery Trail was closed. As usual:
It always saddens me when I see this huge, un-themed building. This is really bad show:
This may soon become a real ride:
The "Frozen Desert" snack point should soon be demolished (together with a nearby tent) to make way for a new train station:
We always loved to stop on the side of the building to hear some very funny recorded conversations... Unfortunately, this feature was removed in 2010:
One of the actors that entertain guests talking through the Mystic Fountain has recently had some very serious issues with the park. We will share some more details very soon:
A quick look at the colorful Seuss Landing:
Also, going back to the Port of Entry, we took a photo of the Lucky Monkey sign, which has been missing its dices since a few days (as reported on the "Orlando United" forum):
That is all! Thank you for reading, and remember:
...THE ADVENTURE LIVES ON...
Photos too big to view again, scrolls to next page when trying to slide over the photo. This is only a recent change to viewing your site and not on all posts.
ReplyDeleteThat's very surprising, as we have recently changed only our image host (from ImageShack to TinyPic). The size of the photos is exactly the same as before. We are quite concerned about this, but unfortunately we don't know what is causing this problem.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reporting this, though. We will continue to try to understand what's the source of the issue.
Lets hope not only the Spidy ride but the whole super hero island gets a HD 3D update. I always hated that land for looking cheap.
ReplyDeleteI wish they would redo the facade of the Spiderman Ride to look like the Flatiron building in NYC.
ReplyDeleteI just want to mention that I too have problem with the pictures loading. A lot of the pictures, I get half of a picture loaded, and on other sites, I get them. Maybe, they are taking too much memory or something.
ReplyDeleteDid you try reloading the page only once? It may allow all the photos to load. Also, which device are you using? I only ask because we are having some issues with iPhones.
ReplyDeleteFor the sign that shows the attractions being refurbished, what do they do if there is more than one attraction closed? That sign is pretty limited.
ReplyDeletePhotos dont load or they only half load. Using Safari.
