New Fantasyland - Major Skyway Update & More (2)
Welcome on part 2 of this new and exciting Fantasyland update (PART 1 can be found here).
Let us continue or tour of the area, by directing our attention to Maurice's Cottage:
Belle's Village:
The place is really taking shape:
The Little Mermaid's area, which includes Prince Eric's Castle:
A closer look at some of the particulars of the castle:
We love the look of that door:
More particulars:
Our usual photos of the fantastic rock-work that surrounds the attraction' building:
Moving over to the Seven Dwarfs' Mine Ride, we "noticed" this huge crane (how could one not notice it?):
And we are finally heading toward the Storybook Circus area of the new Fantasyland (notice the man with the Mickey ears. Talking about funny juxtaposition!):
Notice the new wooden board that will soon showcase the Great Goofini poster:
Talking about the Great Goofini, there it is (pay not attention to the new Dumbo vehicles):
Dumbo's Circus Tent is really looking great:
The queue:
A look at the beautiful, new Storybook Circus Train Station (officially called Fantasyland Station):
The brick-work is great:
A much closer look:
A look at the other tent (that will still be a huge retail shop):
Notice that the tent will have a double entrance:
Now, let's take a look at the new Dumbo vehicles (which are extremely similar to the previous ones):
It looks like the ears of the elephants are just a bit smaller and less pointy:
A view from above (sorry for the unexpected blurriness of the photo):
And we conclude with this panoramic view of Storybook Circus:
Thank you very much for reading!

Any idea what such a massive crane is doing there? Is it for the Mine Ride?
ReplyDeleteI just finish watching The Little Mermaid just now. Now I have a question, isn't Prince Eric's Castle should be white instead of bricks?
ReplyDelete@Scott yes its for the new coaster.
ReplyDeleteSorry to disagree, but circus tents can never look good.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: having it made out of a detailed "sandstone" will make it grittier and more "photo-realistic" I'm fine with the change. Lack of texture might make it look fake or cartoony. The Beast's Castle received more changes than Eric's. The dome of the ballroom is a completely different color, the turrets to the bridge gate are different in shape than the film. They change things here and there in these sorts of projects.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: When looking at the top tower of Prince Eric's Castle you can see that they started with 'whitening' the castle. So I am sure that it will be as white as in the movie and in the concept art but also contain the texture of the bricks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update! The details on Eric's castle look fantastic. What's the status of the mine ride?
