LEGOLAND Water Park: New Artworks & Photos (2)
Let's see some more photos of LEGOLAND's new water park (PART 1 of this update can be found here):
The park's LEGO Wave Pool, which is the only attraction of this kind found at any LEGOLAND Water Park (yes, it is true that there are only two LEGOLAND Water Parks in the world, as of now, but still...):
Don't expect huge waves in this pool, though. The LEGO Wave Pool will have continuous - but very mild - waves. Remember that this will be a very kid-centered water park:
The back wall of the LEGO Wave Pool will have very bright colors, as well as some LEGO models:
This is how it will look once it will open (you can see the LEGO Imagination Station in the foreground, which will be a great area for younger kids to play with water by building their own "dams," playing a "whack-a-mole" game with water elements, and much more):
A look at the Joker Soaker:
It already looks nice now, but it will look even better very soon:
It will be very similar to "Walkabout Way" at SeaWorld Orlando's Aquatica:
This is how it will look once it will open:
These two slides (the yellow and blue slides on the left) will be called Twin Chasers:
A better look at the slides:
This is how they will look once the park will open:
These water slides here are called Splash Out and Twin Chasers:
These are obviously geared toward teenagers. Or brave kids:
They are steep!:
To conclude, we wanted to share a few information about this new LEGOLAND project. The water park is scheduled to open in May 2012 (LEGOLAND's management was very surprised to see the water park in such good conditions), but the official opening date will be revealed in about two weeks. Also, Mr. Adrian Jones confirmed that this is only step one of a major LEGOLAND Florida expansion project... And that is all. For now, at least. We recommend you to check back here often for all the latest news about this great LEGO-themed attraction!
Thank you very much for viewing, and have a great day!

Calling water slides.....TWIN TOWERS???????
ReplyDeleteAre they kidding?
I'm really impressed with the amount of work being put into Legoland Florida. They're really turning it into a wonderful resort. I'm looking forward to what they announce next!
ReplyDeleteIt was supposed to be called the "Twin Chasers." Did they change it?
ReplyDeleteMost of this was left-over from when Cypress Gardens installed a waterpark to help boost attendance.
ReplyDeleteI believe the both the slide towers, the play area, lazy river and wave pool where already there, the kids area looks to be the only real new addition. The buildings look to be the originals from Cypress Gardens also.
Nice to see their going to do something with it though, I was wondering if it would be demolished or re-used.
@Anonymous #1: We truly apologize for the mistake. Like Greg said, it is going to be called "Twin Chasers." We got confused because of the name paired with the new artwork that they sent us (which is indeed titled "Twin Towers").
ReplyDeleteSorry again for the mistake.
