Photo-Tour of the Refurbished Swiss Family Treehouse
The Swiss Family Treehouse, one of Magic Kingdom's original attractions, was recently completely refurbished, and it now looks absolutely great. But, what has actually been done to the Treehouse itself? Well, keep in mind that this major refurbishment did not introduce any new detail or addition. The purpose of it was to restore the Swiss Family Treehouse to its original glory by repainting the tree all the areas surrounding it, as well as changing the wood used in some of the bridges and walkways. In addition to that, we now have a new, extended entrance that should expose a little more this classic attraction.
Now, let's take a look at the refurbished attraction, starting from the entrance:
Now, let's take a look at the refurbished attraction, starting from the entrance:
It has been extended:
All the wood has been replaced and repainted:
This includes also the oars (some of which were also missing in the past):
The extended queue looks great too:
This bridge looks exactly like before, but it surely received some attention too:
The drinking mechanism finally works again:
...and everything has been repainted:
Take a look at how it spins:
It is great to see all these little details and mechanisms working:
This sign was completely repainted:
And now, take a general look around the Treehouse and its different "rooms." Everything has been refurbished:
The helm looks great! Before it was all worn out because of guests constantly touching it (even though it is placed there for people to touch it, I suppose):
More photos of the Treehouse:
This desk looks too empty. Something may be missing here:
The kitchen has received a lot of attention too:
Everything you see here has been repainted:
Including the "silverware," the cups...
...and the food!:

And this is all! Thank you very much for reading. We will soon post a general Magic Kingdom update that will cover all the other areas of the park (except the Swiss Family Treehouse and Fantasyland, of course). Have a great rest of the day!
Thank you so much for the tour of the tree house. I have been searching the Web for days, hoping that someone would have even a few pictures of the refurb.
ReplyDeleteI was especially interested in whether the running water system had been repaired. It had bothered me for several years that it had not been repaired. I think it's one of the best features of the entire attraction.
Thanks for such a detailed update!
