Disney's Animal Kingdom's New Parade Route Debuts
Today we want to share with you a news that you might have already heard on other websites some time ago (we were waiting for the official confirmation, which we received just yesterday): Animal Kingdom's parade, "Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade," will now have a different parade route. In fact, previously the parade stepped off from a corner right next to the entrance to the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Now, the parade will step off from Discovery Island, and it will make the entire loop around the Tree of Life.
To better understand this change, let's compare the former parade route with the new one.
THE FORMER PARADE ROUTE:
"The parade begins at the gate between the entrance to Kilimanjaro Safaris and Tusker House Restaurant. It travels through Africa, over the bridge into Discovery Island circling the Tree of Life passing Creature Comforts, Pizzafari, Island Mercantile, Disney Outfitters, and Beastly Bazaar before going over the bridge into Asia. Turning past Caravan Stage (Flights of Wonder) it returns to Africa passing Tamu Tamu Refreshments, Mombasa Marketplace, Tusker House Restaurant and ending right where it began near the Kilimanjaro Safaris entrance."
Here's the park map with the former route (don't pay attention to the fact that Expedition Everest is missing):
THE NEW PARADE ROUTE:
"The parade begins at the gate between Creature Comforts and Pizzafari. It circles the Tree of Life passing Island Mercantile, Disney Outfitters, and Beastly Bazaar before going over the bridge into Asia. Turning past Caravan Stage (Flights of Wonder) it returns to Africa passing Tamu Tamu Refreshments, Mombasa Marketplace and the Tusker House Restaurant. It travels over the bridge into Discovery Island passing Creature Comforts and ending right where it began."
And here you are the new park map with the current parade route:
In a few words, the parade will not go through the entire land of Africa, finally avoiding to create a bottleneck near the Kilimanjaro Safaris. This will surely give a much-needed relief to the area.
