SeaWorld Orlando: TurtleTrek Update & More (Part 2)

Thanks for joining us in part 2 of this new SeaWorld Orlando update (for PART 1, click here). Let's continue to check out the rest of the park, to see what's new:

Why don't we take a general look around the Penguin Plaza? It will be completely re-done very soon, to become "Antarctica - Empire of the Penguin":

The Penguin Encounter:

A missing sign:

The nearby gift shop:

Some midway games scattered in the area:

The Xtreme area (where kids were able to bounce on elastic trampolines) is completely gone:

Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island:

The boat sure needs some help...

Going toward the quieter area of the park, we noticed these nice lights on the trees:

The Paddle Boats are great to relax (a small fee is required):

The Terrace Garden Buffet:

Work is being done in some areas of "Shamu's Happy Harbor":

This is the area of the small remote control boats:

You can clearly see that they're doing some major work there:

A general look at the area:

The "Wahoo Two" boat:

The Net Climb attraction was closed:

Wrong place to dump the garbage...

"Wild Arctic" is becoming once again "The Polar Express Experience":

The Arctic Shop:

A look at some of the future special events that the park will offer:

Mango Joe's:

The Dine with Shamu area is still closed to the general public:

D you remember when we broke the news about the double floor being installed in the "Dine with Shamu" pool? Well, it looks like we were right. Take a look:

This new double floor was not meant as a temporary structure, used only during the works:

This same system will soon be built in the Shamu Stadium too:

And we close with a nice picture of the Kraken:

And that's all folks! Thank you very much for reading, and remember to check out PART 1 too!

  2. I'm going to have to say I'm glad it's not there year round. Wild Arctic is an incredible themed attraction but I remember the first time I visited the Polar Express Experience. Incredible. That story was my childhood. I used to read that book as a kid and I remember opening that box under my tree with a bell from Santa's sleigh in it. My parents claimed they couldn't here it. xD I see here that they have the actual tank engine of the train. Is this new? It wasn't there when I went back in 2008. I'm glad to see they're continuing this for Christmas.
