Fun Spot Reveals More Info of its Mega Expansion
Fun Spot Action Park will soon receive a major expansion that will completely change the way people perceive this great, minor attraction located along International Drive. Indeed, while we had already reported that the park was going to soon expand to become three times its current size, we still had very general ideas about what we could expect to see. Yesterday, Channel News 6 confirmed some of the attractions that will be built:

Roller coasters, a water park and go-kart track are just some of the plans for an expansion at an Orlando theme park... The 10-acre expansion projects includes one wooden and one steel roller coaster, a water park complete with a lazy river and slides, and will double the number of rides.Park managers hope it will bring in more guests while maintaining their small park atmosphere.

With the exception for the water park (which will require a separate ticket), Fun Spot will continue to charge guests only on a pay-as-you-ride basis, like the park has always done during the past. The expansion should be completes by Spring 2013. With all these expansions on the horizon, we can only say that we are excited to see a bright horizon for all of Orlando's attractions, both minor and major! The only theme parks that have still not announced an expansion are Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. If they join in, we will truly have a "100% expansion rate!"
i guess i missed the anouncement of isle of adventure expansion.
ReplyDeleteCan someone fill me in?
Anonymous, you're right, no expansion has yet been officially announced for Islands of Adventure, but the Amazing Adventure of Spiderman will soon receive a major refurbishment. We can count that as an "expansion" of the park's offerings. Many other things are also in the works for the park.
ReplyDeletehas anyone got confirmation on the rumour i've heard about fun spot moving the Dania Beach Hurricane roller coaster? now this fantastic coaster is no longer operating, it would be great if fun spot saved it - or even Starliner from the old Cypress Gardens (fun spot kissimmee got the power trip coaster from cypress gardens so why not?)
