Fantasyland Update: Carousel Refurb Starts (PART 2)
Thanks for joining us in this second part of our new Fantasyland update (for PART 1, click here). Let's continue our tour of the area by checking out the work being done in the Little Mermaid's area:
The arches beside the castle are beautiful:
The rockwork is as great as it can be:
Still some work needs to be done, of course:
Now, let's move on to Storybook Circus:
Work on the Great Goofini's building continues:
The tower that will soon enclose the top of the coaster's lift hill is currently being built:
The structure of the new Storybook Circus Train Station is almost complete:
The arches look good:
Double Dumbo's building (which will house the new interactive queue):
The sides of the building are being painted:
As we reported yesterday, more details have appeared on the base of the new Dumbo attraction (to see many more photos of this, please, click on this link):
The two, huge circus tents are still bare, but not for long:
It is unusual to be able to see through the tents, isn't it?:
As you know, the former Enchanted Grove snack point is now the Cheshire Cafe':
You can find many more pictures at this link.
In Winnie the Pooh's area, Tigger's Bouncy Place still sits silent...
And we conclude with a look at the former Fantasyland Skyway, where nothing seems to have changed:
This concludes our new Fantasyland update. We hope you have enjoyed the photos!
Please, remember to check out PART 1 of this update before leaving.

Looks great! We were just there Sunday (had to quench my Dole Whip craving before the Candle Light Processional). Anywho.....was nabbed for a survey about my food experiences and while in there completing the survey we were told by an "in the know?" CM that parts of Fantasy Land will be open by late Spring/Early Summer beginning with the circus, followed by Beauty & the Beast and then Ariel. The new mine train may not be up and running until 2013. Just what we heard! :)
ReplyDeleteI would feel ripped off if I paid $70 a ticket to see that mess.
ReplyDeleteLooks very good and hope to come soon back to Orlando from Belgium.
