LEGOLAND Florida Photo-Galley: Miniland USA
Since LEGOLAND Florida has just opened to the public (on October 15, 2011, see our photo-gallery of the Grand Opening Ceremony HERE), it seemed more than appropriate to post pictures of the entire park, by dividing them into different categories, which correspond to the various themed areas of the park. We will not add any personal comments in these photo-galleries, as we will soon post a separate review of the park.
- MINILAND USA -
DESCRIPTION:
The heart of every LEGOLAND Park, Miniland USA is home to eight specially themed areas.
THEMED AREAS:
- Florida encompasses the entire state from Mallory Square in Key West to Bok Tower in Central Florida and antebellum mansions in the Panhandle. Miniland Florida also includes expanded areas for Kennedy Space Center and an interactive Daytona International Speedway® racing experience where guests can race LEGO brick cars.
- Las Vegas features the world-famous Strip including the Luxor Las Vegas, New York, New York Hotel and Casino, Excalibur, Mirage, Treasure Island, Tropicana, MGM Grand, Venetian, Stratosphere tower and two iconic structures of Paris Las Vegas: the balloon sign and Eiffel Tower. “The Strip” at LEGOLAND also features a miniature wedding chapel, monorails and real-life sounds recorded in Las Vegas.
- Washington, D.C. sports faithful re-creations of the White House (including the first family and “first dog”), the U.S. Capitol building, Smithsonian, Washington and Jefferson monuments and parts of Georgetown. An animated marching band parades in front of the Capitol and tiny cherry trees blossom every spring.
- New York City features tiny jets of water shooting up from the fountain in Rockefeller Plaza, while a fleet of animated yellow taxicabs navigates the streets of Times Square. The Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station, The Empire State Building, the Guggenheim Museum and the Bronx Zoo are iconic landmarks
- California showcases a San Francisco skyline complete with the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street and painted row houses, as well as famous southern California icons like Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the Hollywood Bowl, the Hollywood sign and Madame Tussauds
- Pirate Shores, a uniquely themed section, hosts a full-on swashbuckling pirate adventure as two opposing pirate ships and their LEGO “mini-fig mates” battle it out upon the high seas.

I would really hate to be the person who has to cut the grass. Looks like quite a chore.
ReplyDeleteFriend I was just making a comment on the grass. From the pictures that I have seen it looks like grass. I know that you will post something that will have just as vulger language as your last one.
ReplyDeleteAs we previously said, we do NOT tolerate name-calling or other disrespectful comments. We have removed the comment in question, Anonymous. Thanks for your patience in this circumstance.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you are absolutely right. It is real grass, as we saw Model Citizens cutting it with kid-sized scissors!
