"Dumbo the Flying Elephant" to Close on Jan. 9, 2012
Here's an important advisory that may give us some hints about the opening of the new Storybook Circus land:
The very popular Dumbo, the Flying Elephant attraction, currently located near the Pinocchio Village Haus and Prince Charming Royal Carousel will close for refurbishment starting on January 9, 2012. The rehab is projected to be completed by February 18, 2012.
This surely means that Dumbo's attraction will be permanently closed on January 9, 2012, so that they can remove it from its current place, and install it (after receiving a full rehab) in the new Storybook Circus land, along with the second, brand-new Dumbo. Of course, this leads to a very important question: Will at least a section of Storybook Circus open on February 18, 2012? It looks like there's be a good possibility that this may happen. What do you think? Why did they already give us an end date of the refurbishment?
That makes me sick. We've waited 18 months to visit in hopes some of the new Fantasy Land would be finished and now Dumbo and Big Thunder Mountain will both be closed when we visit in late January. Really poor planning by the Disney people.
ReplyDeleteWe are very sorry to hear your disappointment, Anonymous, but we fully understand how you feel. I would be extremely sad too if Big Thunder Mountain was closed during my visit, after having planned my trip over an year and a half in advance.
ReplyDeleteBut, look the positive side: during your next visit, you will have a lot of new and exciting things to look forward to see!
Any other release dates coming up for Fantasy Land? my partner and I are planning a visit in october 2012 and are hoping all will be open apart from the Snow White train.
