Contemporary Parking Restrictions & Road Congestion

Due to a major convention that will take place at the Contemporary Resort, the Walt Disney World Resort is expecting some delays today, October 28, 2011. Here you are additional information you need to know:

Advisory ~ Road Impacts Friday, October 28, 2011

On Friday, October 28, from approximately 5:30 p.m. into the late evening hours, there may be possible traffic impacts and/or delays due to a convention event being held at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. In anticipation of heightened traffic flow, some roads leading into and exiting Disney’s Contemporary Resort will either be completely closed or operating under traffic restrictions. Potential roads that may be impacted are as follows: World Drive, Epcot Center Drive, Seven Seas Drive and Floridian Way.

In addition to that, the parking lot of the Contemporary Resort will be restricted only to guests who are currently staying at the hotel, due to the same reason (a special convention):

Due to limited capacity and convention activity, Disney’s Contemporary Resort will hard close October 28-29. The Guest parking lot will be restricted to only those Guests staying at the resort or with dining or recreation reservations.
