Advisory~Complimentary Wi-Fi available at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels

As part of our efforts to continuously improve the experience for Guests staying at Walt Disney World hotels, we’re excited to announce that we’re currently working on a new design configuration for complimentary Wi-Fi coverage.
Complimentary wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) will be available in Guests rooms at select resort hotels starting Oct. 14, which include:

• Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
• Disney’s Beach Club Resort
• Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
• Disney’s Contemporary Resort
• Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
• Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
• Disney’s Old Key West Resort
• Disney’s Polynesian Resort
• Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
• Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort
• Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Complimentary in-room wired Internet will be available at these resorts until Oct. 24.

- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS -

• How can I access the complimentary Wi-Fi?
When you connect to the network using a wireless-enabled device (e.g. laptop, cell phone, etc.), you’ll notice a network option labeled “Guest – Access (unsecured)”. Once you click on that option, you’ll be taken to a screen that prompts you to accept the terms and conditions. After accepting the terms and conditions, you’ll have complimentary Wi-Fi access.

• What cellular carriers are covered for Wi-Fi access?
AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and MetroPCS

• Why isn’t complimentary Wi-Fi coverage available in all areas of the resort hotel?
If the new design configuration is successful, we’ll review providing complimentary Wi-Fi access at other locations within Walt Disney World Resort hotels and share those details at a future date.

• Will Wi-Fi in Guest rooms at these Walt Disney World Resort hotels continue to be complimentary in the designated areas, moving forward?
If the new design configuration is successful, Wi-Fi in Guest rooms will continue to be complimentary to Guests in these Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

• When will complimentary Internet access be available in Guest rooms at all Walt Disney World Resort hotels?
If the new design configuration is successful, we’ll review providing complimentary Wi-Fi access in Guest rooms at other locations, and share those details at a future date.

As you have read, after October 24, 2011, if everything goes well, they will continue to offer this service. If not, they may keep on doing more tests to find out the best way to make guests happy... while avoiding spending too much money for services guests may not really need.
