Fun Spot Is Thinking About Introducing Annual Passes

Good afternoon! As you may already know, we are being really busy in these days, but we are still here, posting some updates in our spare time (which is really limited now). Anyway, we have just heard that both Fun Spot Attractions (Fun Spot Action Park in Orlando and Fun Spot U.S.A.) are thinking about introducing an annual pass, valid for both parks, along with a separate annual pass for each of the two parks.

This is the link to the interesting survey that unofficially announced a possible introduction of annual passes (feel free to take it): http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9GRGV5C

These are the possible prices :

$79.95 Single Park Unlimited Weekday Pass (Mon-Fri)
$119.95 Two Park Unlimited Weekday Pass (Mon-Fri)
$99.95 Unlimited Annual Pass (Introductory Price by 12/24/11)
$119.95 Unlimited Annual Pass (Regular price after 12/24/11)
$139.95 Unlimited Two Park Pass (purchased before 12/24/11)
$159.95 Unlimited Two Park Pass Regular Price (after 12/24/11)

Just to hear some opinions from our readers, would you consider buying an annual pass for Fun Spot? If yes, why? If not, would you consider buy it if the prices were lower? Share your opinions!

  1. It´s beyond me that Fun Spot exists in Orlando. I can´t think of a reason why I would go to something like that when you can go to the best theme parks in the world.

  2. OT, you have to understand that Fun Spot and other amusement parks in the Orlando and Kissimmee area (Old Town, Magical Midway, etc...) are all geared toward families who want to have fun but that do not have hundreds and hundreds of dollars to spend each day. An annual pass for one Fun Spot Park would be equal to less than one day at WDW. There's a huge difference.

  3. ^There are far too many things wrong with your logic. Side attractions exist because there are tourists. It's that simple.

These people are already here to go to the parks so the fact that I Drive and 192 have all of these guests is really why Fun Spot is where they are. (Joh Aries Sr. knew this and why he opened "Fun Spots" in other areas such as Pigeon Forge) These parks while fun, are not geared towards locals, but rather tourists who are looking to spend some time away from the big three. But this is not the same as, will go to Fun Spot instead of the big three.

As far as pricing, Fun Spot has pretty steep pricing, it's similar to a fair. And while it's easy to say it's significantly less than one of the bigger parks, look at what you're getting.

All of the parks are about 82.00 now, but let's be real, very few tourists are paying that price, let alone going ONLY to ONE of those parks. The parks have multiday passes available, and when purchased online, you'll save even more. In fact, you just posted some info on SeaWorld where the price increase was negated if you purchased in advance.

If you're going to look at Fla Residents such as myself (who will most likely buy this annual) the pricing is even more similar to the big parks. 159.00 is the upper end, and now you are close to, or over the price of a WDW Play Four Days pass, a SW/Aquatica pass or SW/BGT Fun Card or a Universal Annual. So the question is, who is this pass for? It's for us, locals!

A tourist will not likely have a need for this type of pass. Most are only looking for a few hours and in the case of the multi park unlimited, you would need to visit the park over 6 times to recoup the cost of over buying the adult rides and cart band.

Is it a good deal? So long as you like Fun Spot and you'll use it enough, it is! I enjoy Fun Spot for what it is, so I wish them well, and I get how their pricing was done, but when you really look at the other parks, I think this particular price point is high.

  4. Fun Spot is a great place to walk around, enjoy the rides and eat snacks. I recommend Fun Spot to all of my visiting family members and friends.

As an Orlando resident I bring my family to Fun Spot at least 10 to 20 times a year. My kids go on the rides maybe once a year.

We enjoy the new game room and stay there most of the time playing games. If the unlimited annual pass for both parks were $99.95 I would purchase the pass for my children.

Yearly pass, great idea for Florida residents. With the price stated above it maybe a reasonable price for tourist.

Respectfully, please reconsider pricing. This is my opinion.

    Thank you... Ephraim
