Fantasyland Update - Pooh, Little Mermaid, and More

Welcome to a new Fantasyland update! First of all, we want to apologize for the time we are posting this update. Indeed, we took these pictures a week ago, but we have been so busy with other photo-updates (we posted one a day, as we always try to do), that we didn't have enough time to share these with you. Until now. Let's take a look together at the current status of the work.

Nothing new in the area of the former Fantasyland Skyway... We wonder when they will resume the work:

A very nice day, with light crowds...

Work continues on the roof of the Pinocchio Village Haus:

More work:

Repaving still in progress near Dumbo:

Work also continues on the new castle walls:

They've finally started working on other parts of the walls:

A new column has appeared:

- The Beauty and the Beast's Area -

Belle's Cottage:

Beast's castle:

Belle's village:

- The Little Mermaid -

A new steel structure has appeared on the Little Mermaid's castle:

A lot of white boxes have been delivered on-site... Do they contain props for the ride? Who knows:

The beautiful Little Mermaid castle:

- Storybook Circus -

Dumbo's Circus:

A closer look at the covered queue line:

The entrance to the ride:

The renovated ride station of Great Goofini coaster can be seen in the distance:

A look at the brand-new train station of Storybook Circus:

- Miscellaneous -

The sign of the Hundred Acre Goods shop (near The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) has received some new, faux leaves, as well as new, themed lights:

Let's compare:

BEFORE:

NOW:

A closer look:

Tigger's Bouncy Place... still closed:

Work continues on the Enchanted Grove, which, according to a member on a WDW fan board, will become themed after the Cheshire cat, from the famous Alice in Wonderland movie:

The banners are gone near the entrance of Snow White's Scary Adventures:

They were brand-new... very strange:

And we conclude with some nice evening shots of Cinderella Castle:

Cinderella's fountain:

Nothing beats this view. Nothing:

Thank you very much for viewing, and have a great rest of the day!

  3. The white "boxes" appear to be foam blocks. They are commonly used to sculpt things on site. The artist/imanigneer would use scrapping tools to shape them into indoor scenery, most likely. It could be used anywhere, but it is delicate enough that it would be for scenery where the guests would have no contact with them. Maybe the inside of the under the sea ride.

  4. These are great update pictures of the new Fantasyland. I wish they would move away from the tent look for Snow White. I love what they did at Disneyland for this ride with the wicked queen staring out at guests. Thanks for sharing!!-MouseEarsMissy
