Old Town Update: New Zip-Line Debuts and More
It has been a while since we have checked out old Town, so it is time to take a look around, to see what has been done in the past few weeks. Indeed, as you may already know, the park is in the middle of a major change of pace. Before, it was an old, sleepy amusement park that seemed to have no clear goals. Now, the park has started to introduce new attractions, stores, events, and more, all focused to make families want to return, again and again. Let's see:
NOTE: It was very cloudy, so we apologize for the dark pictures.
There seemed to be a minor problem with the LED screen on the Ferris Wheel:
The great, new AmpVenture Experience:
School has just started (and it was raining a lot), therefore not a lot of people are able to come to the park during the early afternoon (unless they are tourist and their kids are starting school in September):
A brand-new park map has been introduced in the park:

The Flying Dutchman:
The Bumper Cars:
NEW! - The Zip-line is finally complete! Take a look:
It looks very exciting:
The security exit, should you not be able to go back to the main "AmpVenture" structure (very unlikely!):
Now, let's take a look around the shops of the park:
Work continues on Jimmy John's new location:
The Old Town Leather shop:
Tiki Jim's:
The Wave Surf shop:
The Old Town Puppets:
Old Town's stage:
More shops:
Something new should come soon here:
Old Town's clock:
The Old Town Bull:
I found very commendable that Old Town continues to take care of their park, noticing also the "minor" issues, like a light bulb that doesn't work properly:
I still can't figure out if this is just a prop, or if it is going to be used in the near future:
The fantastic "Portrait Gallery," our absolute favorite (it's a fully-themed store, no wonder we love it!)
Nearby, it seems like a car is still missing:
Another new shop should be coming soon in this space:
It's always Toy Time in there:
The General Store:
Unfortunately, it looks like the "Segway of Old Town" has gone away from its former location:
The park's arcade:
Let's check out the back section of the park, which includes a lot more rides:
The Windstorm is one of the highlights of the back of the park. It may use a new paint job, though:
The "Mini Hoops" game has moved from this location:
It is now on the left of the wacky worm ride:
The back section has another new park map:
