New York by night... LEGO style
Soon, many people visiting Florida will also be able to see New York City's skyline... by night! No, we're not kidding, it is true. Of course, the building will be no taller than a kid, and the whole skyline will not be bigger than your backyard, but it will be something not to miss. Indeed, LEGOLAND Florida has shared a great picture showing their scaled reproduction of New York City as seen during the evening, with an incredible number of lights that makes it look extremely beautiful. Take a look (from LEGOLAND's Facebook page):

Isn't it great? Unfortunately, though, there's something that inevitably comes to my mind: if the park constantly closes at 5 p.m., when will we able to see Miniland's models all lighted up like that? Just a few days a year, when the park closes at 7 p.m.? LEGOLAND Florida has to make some adjustments to their opening hours. They have to, if they really want guests to fully enjoy their visit to the park.
OMG.... It's Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy the want to close ad 5 Pm?? All the other park close between 6 and 7 pm even in slow season!!!!
At 7 p.m.?
ReplyDeleteBut I wonder when will that be Samuele? Since it doesn't get dark that early at least not in Summer... In July when I was there, it started to get dark at about 8 p.m. with the sun gone at about 8:30p.m. So that will make it a bit more difficult... I guess in Christmas. At what time it gets dark at Christmas cause if they close in Summer even at 7 p.m. it won't be dark yet.
You're right, Francisco. Here in Florida, during the summer the sun doesn't go down until at least 8:30-9:00 p.m. (now, it goes down at 8:40, for example). In the winter, it goes down at 5:30 - 6:00 p.m...
ReplyDeleteWe'll see if they decide to make adjustments to the opening hours.
I can provide an explanation for this.
ReplyDeleteLegoland Florida is being built be Merlin Entertainments - most of the company operates in the UK.
They have based there opening hours on the UK, which is incorrect of course but it is simply their current strategy, they will probably learn once the season progresses.
