Grand Gathering Experiences to End in January 2012

Have you ever found yourself strolling along the World Showcase Lagoon, and seeing some areas in Italy, France or other pavilions closed for a small evening party? Well, you won't see them any longer, starting from January 2012. Read more about this change:

Grand Gathering Experiences No Longer Offered 

as of January 28, 2012

• We are continually evaluating, updating and refining our offerings. As a result, Grand Gatherings Safari Celebration Dinner, Good Morning Gathering, and International Dinner & IllumiNations Dessert Reception will no longer be offered at the Walt Disney World Resort as of January 28, 2012. Guests can continue to contact the Disney Reservation Center to book these experiences until that time.
• There are a variety of magical, memorable experiences for all of our Guests – including those traveling with a large party – to enjoy. There are tours such as Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour, events like the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party and the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage, and food and beverage locations that can accommodate larger groups such as two new restaurants at Epcot: Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria and La Hacienda.
• Guests are encouraged to discover more of our magical offerings, including a variety of table-service restaurants that can accommodate large parties, by calling 407-WDW-DISNEY.
