Power Trip Coaster Grand Opening Ceremony - Video

As you may remember, last Saturday, July 2, 2011, Fun Spot U.S.A. officially opened their very first roller coaster, called the Power Trip coaster. It was originally located at Cypress Gardens Adventure park, and it was called "Galaxy Spin". After Cypress Gardens decided to sell all its rides in 2009 (and 2010), the Galaxy Spin go to be assigned to Fun Spot U.S.A. 

LEGOLAND Florida, which later bought Cypress Gardens, was not able to retain the coaster, even though they shipped a very similar wild mouse coaster all the way from LEGOLAND Windsor, in the United Kingdom! Fun Spot U.S.A. had this coaster since 2010, and at first they wanted to assemble and open the coaster by the end of 2010, but they were looking for somebody to sponsor the coaster. After not too long, the new energy drink company, called "Power Trip", decided to come in and sponsor the coaster, which therefore changed its name from "Galaxy Spin" to "Power Trip Coaster".
