"Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It!" Street Party VIDEO
Most of you will know the infamous Disney parade/celebration that continues to perform at the Magic Kingdom, even though the "What Will You Celebrate?" campaign is long gone (It was replaced in January 2011 by the "Let the Memories Begin!" campaign). This particular parade is not only something to watch. Indeed, it stops right in the middle of the park, called the central hub, letting people to dance along with many Disney characters.
The idea per se is not bad at all, but the final result is pretty sad, starting from the very cheap-looking floats, to the quite unusual music that you wouldn't expect in a Disney theme park (of course, that's also the problem of Club 626 in Tomorrowland, but that's yet another story...). take a look at the floats, and judge by yourself:
As we said before, this is not all. the parade then went to the central hub, where the show goes on. But, as you may have seen, the parade floats are very bare, and this is certainly something that should be either renovated (to match at least the theme pf the new "Let the Memories Begin!" campaign") or replaced altogether by something new. What do you personally think?
They just need to do away with this parade/show and do a new castle show and 3:00 parade to replace the celebrate a dream come true parade and that doesn't mean just changing the parade name and music. We need a whole new parade!
ReplyDeleteIt's all the same thing! One big line of stilt walkers and floats with gift boxes. How lame.
ReplyDeleteIts time to do away with Celebrate. The Parade at 3pm is awful and this has no point.
ReplyDeleteI dont think though the Castleshow is all that bad. Would be nice to see a new show.
The parade thats at DLRP is a million times better then this! Dont think we will bother taking time out of our day to see this.
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of being different, I'm going to disagree a little. Is it the best parade/show in WDW? No! BUT it's certainly not the worst. I actually like the energy that it adds to the MK during the day! Lots of people still stop and watch it and it's cute to see young and old alike dancing in the hub. I also like the fact that it's kind of mini-parade that you can see later in the day when it's not so hot. On most of our trips we just can't bare to stand out in the heat for the 3 pm parade. I also like the characters costumes - very colorful and festive!
ReplyDeleteI think alot of you are judging the parade based of the video posted. The video just shows the travel loop to the show area. THIS IS NOT THE SHOW. The whole show stops in the hub and is a 20 min. high energy, audience participation dance party show. It is amazing, fun and brilliant. Dont judge this show from the video above, it only shows 1/16 of what the show is!
