Orlando Theme Parks As Seen From... Up Above
No, we didn't rent one of those expensive helicopters to get a view of Orlando theme parks from the sky. While it would be great to do that, we've found a place where you can get a glimpse of at least one iconic attraction of each and every theme park in the area... for free!
Let's take a look together at these pictures that we took from the top of the world... well, from the top of the Bay Lake Tower, the new section built right next to the Contemporary Resort:
- MAGIC KINGDOM -
Of course, the first theme park that you see from the Bay Lake Tower is the Magic Kingdom:
In these pictures, you can even see the TRONORAIL from above! When do you get to see this?:
The Castle is the most iconic centerpiece of any theme park in the world:
Cough, cough... Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe contributes to smog!:
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad:
...and Space Mountain:
Behind the Magic Kingdom, you can see some parts of the backstage:
The Transportation and Ticket Center (TTA) and its sea of lights:
- EPCOT -
When do you get to se Spaceship Earth... with the Gaylord Palms resort in the background?:
- DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS -
Can you see the Earffell Tower in the horizon (and the Wilderness Logde, along with the Swan and Dolphin in the foreground)?
- DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM -
Expedition Everest... complemented with McDonald's on the right:
- DOWNTOWN DISNEY -
Here's Downtown Disney, with the Characters in Flight balloon (and the huge Marriott World Center in the background):
- SEAWORLD ORLANDO -
This is SeaWorld Orlando. In this picture, you can see the Renaissance hotel; Manta, the flying roller coaster; the Panoramic Tower, and, on the far right of the picture, you can even get a glimpse of the Kraken coaster:
- UNIVERSAL ORLANDO -
Universal Orlando, with its own castle and roller coasters:
- MISCELLANEOUS -
The Peabody resort:
The City Beautiful, Orlando:
- THE CONTEMPORARY RESORT -
A geyser-like fountain near the parking lot of the resort:
- INSIDE THE TOP OF THE WORLD LOUNGE -
Let's take a look around the place, shall we?:
the bathrooms of the lounge have a quite particular addition:
Yes, it's a kid-sized sink!:
A look at the Bay lake Tower's pool, with its breath-taking background:
Lots of hidden mickeys out there:
Great Landscaping:
And we'll end with this panoramic overview of the Discovery island area
Thanks a lot for viewing!
