Busch Gardens Update - June 2011 (Part 1)

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a truly amazing theme park. Unfortunately, due to the location of the park (which is situated a bit too far from the Orlando area), we are not able to visit the park very frequently, but every single time we go to this park, we're absolutely thrilled. The animals, the rides, the theming, the animal experiences... everything the park offers is incredible.

Today, we'll check out the whole park, to see all the amazing new things that have been added in the past few months. Let's start from the very beginning, that is, the entrance of the park:

Oh, no! Cheetah Hunt is not included in the Quick Queue. The fact is that the coaster is wildly popular now, and with the Quick Queue, the stand-by queue would be even more enormous:

Sheikra was closed during the morning, but unexpectedly reopened later in the afternoon:

Let's go in:

The area around the main entrance looks great. The thematic elements are very nice:

Did you know that the Cheetah Hunt Overlook is still open? It's located on the third floor of the Crown Colony Restaurant, and you can get  great view of the coaster:

An alligator in the waters lurking nearby:

Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy moved in the Moroccan Theater. it replaced "Katonga", which I never loved, and I have to say that it is a fairly better show, even though they could have done much better. It is like a very, very, very small version of the Cirque du Soleil, with acrobats, jugglers, singers, contortionists and even a violin player!:

Inside the Moroccan Palace, the theming seems to be the same as Katonga:

These look like small, new details:

The Crown Colony Restaurant:

Cheetah Hunt is the fantastic, new coaster that just debuted at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay:

Going to Egypt:

It is sad to see the old simulator building sit empty, waiting for something to happen:

Tut's Tomb:

I would love to see more theming like this and like Cheetah Hunt's!:

Montu, one of the world's longest inverted coasters, is visible from the parking lot:

It is huge:
