Fun Spot Update - 'Power Trip Coaster' Goes Vertical
Hello, OTPN readers! After the huge LEGOLAND Florida announcement, the day seems already satisfying, doesn't it? But, that's not all! Indeed, today we've got a very big Fun Spot U.S.A. update, where we'll take a look at the park's new arcade, miscellaneous work around the property, as well as advancemements on the work for their new wild mouse coaster, the "POWER TRIP COASTER", which was known as the "Galaxy Spin Coaster" in the former Cypress Gardens Adventure Park, which is now LEGOLAND Florida.
Let's start with the new arcade, which is still missing all the video games as work is continuing inside the structure:
The Main Entrance looks pretty impressive:
Inside the building, you can smell the newness of the place!:
The logo of the park has been painted:
Logos are essential in my opinion, as they reflect the image of the park/attraction, and make people recognize the place as soon as they see it:
More pictures inside the building:
The new bathrooms:
I was surprised to see these kinds of sinks in 2011, as today all the theme parks and attraction use the touch-free faucets... Not a huge thing, but it's pretty annoying to press that thing while you're washing your hands:
The hand-dryer, on the other hand (pun not intended), is very contemporary, and it's the same currently used at Universal Orlando Resort (they installed them starting summer 2010):
Outside:
The Screaming Eagle:

And now, some nice news on Fun Spot U.S.A.'s new roller coaster! It is finally going... up! Take a look.
BEFORE:
Now, with the new color pattern (which is way, way better than the pink used at Cypress Gardens):
The lift-hill was complete:
There's now a billboard that advertises the new coaster:
That makes you aware of why the coaster has that name:
It is sponsored by the Power Trip Energy Drink :
More pictures of the new coaster:
The coaster cars are all over the park:
Some pictures around the park:
The new SkyCoaster building:
NEW! - Fun Spot U.S.A. offers unlimited soda for $5.00! That's a very good deal:
The HOT SEAT:
The new Party Pavilion looks a bit too temporary:
The Go-Karts:
More attractions around the park:
General overview of the park:
Outside the park, you can find the new "Wacky Warehouse":
Pieces of the new coaster can still be found nearby the park, behind the Pirates Mini-Golf:
Banner along 192 show Fun Spot's logo too:
And that's all for now! Please, make sure you post comments and questions about this update if you have any! Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
