Epcot Update - Mouse Gears Changes & More (Part 2)
Welcome to part 2 of this new Epcot update. We'll continue where we left on PART 1.
The sand sculpture of the "African Cats" movie is constantly changing, due to the fact that when it rains (even though it hasn't been raining a lot), of course the sand particles get "disjointed", therefore they have to start over, or at least adjust the parts that "melted". Here's how it looks right now (it has not rained yesterday):
Coming next: The Chimpanzee's movie:
NEW! - Mater has finally been added as a topiary, just at the main entrance of World Showcase:
Lightning McQueen is still there:
In the U.K. pavilion:
NEW! - We assisted to the very first performance of the new band, "The English Channel", which has replaced the famous "British Invasion":

In the French Pavilion:
NEW! - Impressions de France has been completely digitalized, making the film look much, much better! The images are really great, and while the movie is still the same one, it surely looks more contemporary:
Aladdin, in Morocco:
The Japanese pavilion:
The "Inferno" barge (the one that releases the huge fire, during "Illuminations: Reflection of Earth") is under refurbishment:
The Globe is always present, though:
Flower Power is almost ending:
More covered seats added near the new pizzeria:
The new pizza window is still open, and while it is slated to close again in May, we really hope that it will remain open for good! It's great to finally have a quick (and good) self-service in Italy. It is one of the few pavilions in World Showcase (along with Canada) that doesn't have a smaller quick service restaurant:
The Ziti sisters:
It's the first time that we find here in the U.S. the Italian counterpart of Mickey Mouse!:
Repaving in pre progress near the Germany pavilion:
NEW! - A new stand for the Biergarten restaurant:
The boring African pavilion (if it wasn't for Andrew Mutiso, there would be no need to come here):
The newly-refurbished Chinese store:
(CLICK HERE for a lot of photos of the new Chinese Store, which reopened just recently)
Work is underway on the smaller, outdoor shop on the side of the Chinese Store:
Work has begun on the new Brazilian pavilion, coming in 2013 (read the official announcement HERE):
Just joking. There's NO construction on any new pavilion right now, but maybe, in the future...
Anyway, we'll and this update with a panoramic photo of one of the best-looking gardens of Epcot:
And that's about it. Please, make sure to view also PART 1 of this update.

ReplyDeleteI do wish they'd add one more e-ticket ride though.
Thanks for the update and pictures!
Sam... which is the English name for Cricchetto???? I can't remember it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLet me say that the sand sculpture are awesome!!!!!
Is good to see Topolino in the Italian Pavilion... for who is asking about his dress... Mickey dress like a Gondola (a typical little boat in Venice) Pilot
I am curious about Topolino.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of Topolino products do they carry?
You tricked me! I thought you weren't joking about the Brazil Pavilion for a moment and thought "How am I this out of the loop?!" It would be pretty cool though to see a new country in World Showcase.
