LEGOLAND Florida's new map, with rides description
As we recently posted on our official Facebook page, LEGOLAND Florida has released a great-looking park map, that reveals some of the over 50 attractions and shows that will be present inside the park, possibly by the grand opening day, in October 2011. Take a look (Click on it to make it bigger):

The map surely looks great, with all the colors and details that they added. But, let's see which attractions will show up in the park (Remember that the names are NOT the official ones! We're just guessing, by looking at the map, just to get a general overview of the expected rides and attractions of the park):
- THE BEGINNING (ENTRANCE OF THE PARK) -
- First of all, as in every LEGOLAND park, there will be a "BIG" shop, where guests will be able to find all LEGO toys that they can imagine;
- Then, we find the LEGO Factory tour;
- A carousel;
- Granny's Apple Fries, one of the park's best treats;
- (?) The Butterfly House (the "?" means that it has not been confirmed yet);
- The Mansion (used only for special events);
- The Mansion's gardens;
- Flying Island, that makes you see all the splendor of LEGOLAND Florida, from the above;
- Fun Town 4D Theater, where four different movies will be presented each day, in rotation;
- DUPLO LAND -
- Splash Zone;
- Two small car rides;
- A smaller version of the Fire Department ride;
- THE CASTLE -
- The Dragon, which is a dark ride/family coaster;
- An unidentified flat ride in front of the Dragon;
- Royal Joust, where kids board LEGO horses;
- The Mouse Trap, a huge play area in the woods;
- ADVENTURE LAND -
- The Lost Kingdom Adventure, a nice interactive dark ride with some special effects;
- Scarab Bounce, a small version of the free-fall towers;
- The Pharaoh's Revenge (an area where kids can play with foam balls, very similar to but smaller than the "Curios George Goes to Town" area at Universal Studios Florida).
- The Dinosaur Coaster (previously known as the Triple Hurricane);
- The Safari Ride, where you can go explore a jungle full of animals;
- LEGO CITY -
- The Flight School (ex-Swamp Thing roller coaster);
- A show about safety;
- The Driving School;
- Young Driver's School (for little ones);
- The Boating School;
- The Fire Academy;
- LEGO IMAGINATION ZONE -
- Project X, a wild mouse roller coaster;
- The Wave Racers, where you'll surely get soaked by all the water of the water cannons;
- The "Flying Planes" (no clue on the name of this flat ride);
- The LEGO Tower, where guests decide how high they want to go, and when to let them drop down;
- The LEGO IMAGINATION Center;
- THE (CYPRESS) GARDENS -
- The Magnificent Gardens with the fantastic Banyan tree that made the old Cypress Gardens famous are still here for you to discover. Nothing beats nature.
- PIRATE'S COVE -
- The Pirate's water-ski stunt show;
- (COMING IN THE FUTURE) A new Pirate's Splash battle ride;
- MINILAND -
- Among the small representations of small cities, you will find: Orlando, the Kennedy Space Center, the Daytona Speedway; Las Vegas, New York, Washington, San Francisco and many more!
We hope you enjoyed our preview of hat looks like an amazing theme park. See you in October 2011, LEGOLAND Florida!
That's pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteStill...I'm worried me and my friends would have much fun since Merlin seems focused on making this a park for young children.
Well, if you notice, there are some rides that may appeal to older people (like teens too). For example, LEGOLAND Florida is going to have four fairly nice coasters, two great gardens, a big water-ski show, etc...
ReplyDeleteAnd all these things are for the whole family! :-)
We have always enjoyed your comments on the orlando theme parks
ReplyDeleterecently read the post on Cypress Garden's Storm Surge lands in London,was mentioned that Cypress Gardens was located in Winter Garden, when actually Cypress Gardens is located in Winter Haven,
there are many Garden communities
in Florida
Oh, you're right, thank you so much Anonymous! I have always problem remembering which "Winter" city it is! :-)
