Islands of Adventure - A Springtime update
Hello, and welcome to a new Islands of Adventure update! We've got some interesting photos of the Hulk and of the other work that's being done in the park. Let's take a look:
Spring is here, as you can see:
Mythos is presenting some issues, as it's getting dirty even in the back:
See? This color change is very strange:
This was repainted last year. It never got to be used, and it's once again almost in need of being refreshed:
Seuss Landing on the other hand, looks great:
The hat may still need to be repainted, but to me, it's not a big deal:
Look how the color of the flowers match the color of Caro-Seuss-el:
Thy lost Continent:
Mythos' mold (but, once again, better moldy than dry, right?):
One side was actually not working:
I really hope that the rumors that Sindbad is going to close down are false. I love this show, especially its pyrotechnics and the theming, which is massive:
The small lights on the Watering Hole sign are still there. They used to illuminate the temporary Dueling Dragons sign, which, of course, is no more:
See, they point to the empty forest:
These sign got adjusted, with the new logos on the right:
Triceratops Discovery Trail...
Closed:
Another version of Duffy:
Here I think they should put more vegetation to cover the view of Pteranodon's Flyers from Toon Lagoon:
The shiny, newly-repainted Toon Lagoon sign:
DUDLEY DO RIGHT'S RIPSAW FALLS (click on the link to view all the pictures and videos of the reopened ride!) is back open, looking better than ever!!
Remember to check out our previous DUDLEY DO RIGHT'S RIPSAW FALLS update, for a new video of the whole queue!! Don't miss it!!Flowers are all over Popeye and Bluto's village:
And here you are Popeye and Olive Oyl:
The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman (with a real helicopter in the background):
Doctor Doom is still trying to conquer the Earth from Latvia:
And now, some Hulk pictures!
Oh, wow. Isn't that version of the Hulk ugly?
Anyway, let's take a look at the "real" Hulk:
Not yet:
Done!!:
The paint doesn't look exactly the same because of the exposition to the sun and other factors, but it does look great!!:
You can tell it has been repainted:
Still needs some love, though:
This part looks dirtier than ever, because they're working on it:
Ugh!:
They're also repainting the supports:
Just kidding! We wish they'd close down that carnival ride!!
Anyway, that's all for now. Remember to check out Port Provision for some good deals on select merchandise!:
Thanks a lot for viewing, and if you have any question or comment, don't hesitate to post comments!
Also, remember that you can help us with the expenses by donating something, if you'd like!! Thank you, and have a great day!

I really wish someone would take pictures of Dueling Dragons queue line. It was my very favorite and I heard they made many changes after harry potter came in. is there anyway you could take pictures of it next time? i really want to see what has changed.
ReplyDeletedoes anybody know what that submarine by the dock was ever used for? ive seen it on multiple visits over the years and have never found anything about it!
ReplyDeleteYou know when theming is important when The mad tea party and Storm force accelatron is the same ride with different theming.
ReplyDeleteThose are fairly long wait times for a park that seems empty. Great update as usual, out of curiosity when's the next one for USF?
ReplyDeleteFINALLY - they're paiting The Hulk! YAY!!!! I think I even hear Bigfoots clapping in Italy over this! : ) Hope it's done by your trip Who so you can check it out firsthand.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment, everybody!
ReplyDelete@ Anonymous N1: We'll go back to IOA soon, so we'll see what we can do!
@ Anonymous N2: It was used for a boat that used to run between Jurassic Park and Port of Entry. It was the only attraction ever made for PoE! It closed down some years ago, and never reopened.
@Matt: Very true. What a difference!
@ APS: Our Universal Studios update is now up!:http://orlandoparksnews.blogspot.com/2011/03/universal-studios-update-march-2011.html
