Adventure Island extends park hours
A nice news from Adventure Island, one of the most underrated water parks in Florida. It is located right next to Busch Gardens Tampa, but it is considered more of a "locals" water park, due to the fact that most of the visitors tend to skip it and go to either SeaWorld's Aquatica or one of the Disney water parks (Wet 'n' Wild is not as popular, because to its extreme slides and its very poor theming).

Adventure Island kicks off another season of fun in the sun with Preview Weekend Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13. Daily operation begins Saturday, March 19.

Have you ever had the opportunity of visiting this particular water park? If you did, how was your visit?
Well, I live down in Tampa and go to Adventure Island about once a week. The best slides at the water park are probably riptide and wahoo run which are fast, drenching, and dark at some points. But what really disappoints me is that they haven't built a new slide or anything for 5 years and I don't know why. This amazing water park is a must do for people of all ages especially jumping of a 10 foot ledge into a deep pool, it looks high than it is. There are many slides at Adventure Island.
