Bloggers Get an Insider Look Behind the Construction Wall
Picture perfect weather in Tampa, and we couldn't have asked for a better day for our Hard Hat Tour of Cheetah Hunt, that we held for a select group of blogging media.
We welcomed bloggers from Examiner.com, Attractions Magazine and Inside the Magic, just to name a few. We ventured behind the construction wall, wearing these awesome cheetah-spotted hats:
Wearing these hats really got us in the spirit...
Photos were snapped, Tweets were tweeted, Facebook feeds were frenzied with Cheetah Hunt details galore. We fueled the blogging fire with news and insider info.
The group interviewed Mark Rose, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's Vice President of Design & Engineering about the construction progress and the key elements that will make Cheetah Hunt so incredible.
Mark then shared with the group that Cheetah Hunt opening day is.... May 27, 2011. Woohoo! (It feels so good to finally be able to spill the beans!)
Assistant Curator Tim Smith gave the group an overview of Cheetah Run. If you concentrate and focus with all of your might, you can imagine an agile cheetah, sprinting by in the background here, at top speeds...right? (Come on, friends, try and work with me!)
(Stay tuned to the blog for an upcoming Emplotyee Spotlight about Tim, where we'll learn about his daily work with the cheetahs that you will see at Cheetah Run.)
The group traverses the site, adjacent to the future home of Cheetah Run.
And, as a grand finale....
...there's"the tower."
Thanks to all the bloggers for coming out today for a tour of the site.
And, now that YOU finally know opening date, you can start a countdown to the big day.

Just a question: why they don't invited you? The best Orlando's Park Blog in th Universe isn't not enough for they???
ReplyDeleteSam tell us where we can complain about your miss invitation!!!
No, Bigfoots, it's not that they didn't invite me, don't worry! I didn't sign up for the event because I couldn't attend. Tampa is about one hour and a half from here, so I didn't have a lot of time to go...
ReplyDeleteBut, when Cheetah Hunt will open, you'll see a complete update, don't worry!! :-)
Ahhhh... Ok... I was worried about, because you know how we love your amazing blog and an invitation to this reserved event should be the right reward for your great work!
ReplyDeleteIf you couldn't go there, everyone understand your problem with the long distance, but at least an invitation for you, should be a great reward, as I said before!!!
