Disney's Art of Animation Resort construction pictures
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a brand-new hotel that is currently being built at the Walt Disney World resort. It will feature a lot of different themes, and it will fall into the "Value" category, making it accessible to virtually all the families that have chosen other similar hotels like the All-Star Movies, Music and Sport resorts or also the Pop Century Resort. And, guess what? This new hotel will be built right next the Pop Century.
Thanks to one of our readers, Mr. Yves (that we really thank a lot!), we've got some pretty amazing pictures of the work site, taken from the Pop Century. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2012 (along with many other projects), and will offer also an all-family suites portion, for larger families.
But, take a look at these pictures, to understand how big it will look once it will be completed!
BE AWARE THAT THESE PHOTOS ARE EXTREMELY LARGE IN SIZE, SO IT MAY TAKE A WHILE TO LOAD THEM ALL. THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND COOPERATION!:

This section looks like it's almost ready:
More work on the horizon:
Thanks a lot once again to Yves for these great pictures! Have a great day, everybody!
On the sixth picture, there is a huge "40" there, what is that?
ReplyDeleteThat was part of what would have been the Legendary Years half of Pop Century. They only completed half of what was supposed to be Pop Century so that 40 represented the 1940's pop culture. The Legendary Years is going to be re-purposed for Art of Animation.
ReplyDeletePop Century isn't going to make any sense being only half of a century. I hope they re-do Pop as the other half of Art of Animation.
ReplyDeleteYep, the Pop Century has always been incomplete, and it looks like it will always remain incomplete... But that's not too bad. The Art of Animation Resort will look much, much better than the Pop Century!
ReplyDeleteThe section that you said was "almost ready" are the two buildings from the Legendary years that were built when construction was stopped. Or that what it at least looks like

I do apologize for the size of the pictures, but I thought it would have been better to leave them in their original size, for the sake of the details that would have been otherwise lost...
ReplyDeleteYou can do thumbnails on the front page to reduce load. Then they link to bigger versions of the picture. Most blogs do that.
ReplyDeleteYeah, thanks. We are aware of that. The only thing is that we avoid doing that because it would take triple the time to open every single picture. But we're trying to find a photo viewer that opens automatically and you can just see every picture without clicking each of them individually.
