MK's parade changes... fail?

WDWMagic has posted a very good video of what the new version of the "Celebrate a Dream Come True" parade looks like..... And well, it's so disappointing!

The parade now only lasts about 5 minutes, while before it was 15 minutes long!!!!
They've removed one float, and added some characters from "The Princess and the Frog".
It is very weird that they're doing all these strange changes!

But, here's the video from WDWMagic:

And if you haven't seen the past (and better version) of the parade, GO HERE to view some pictures, or
GO HERE to view a video.

So, what do you think? Is this the way of changing a parade?
Some have speculated that they're just saving money for the 40th anniversary parade, but that's a huge excuse in my opinion. They earn way more than what they spend, and all these cuts are not so beneficial.

  1. Why is it now 10 minutes shorter if they only removed 1 float?

  2. I am asking myself the same question!! But, judging by the video, it's really 10 minutes shorter...
    I have no idea! Sorry...

  3. Maybe something just went wrong on that day, otherwise I cant understand changing a parade like that.
Also they have just put up the ticket prices......BAD SHOW DISNEY

  4. My dream is that this parade would be replaced with something new and fun like Tokyo Disneyland Jubilation parade.

  5. I am hoping that those clouds in the background are the reason for the shortened parade. Otherwise, that's not cool.

I swear, sometimes I think Universal execs have infiltrated Disney and that's why all of these poor decisions are made...

  6. This upsets me... not because of the parade itself (I never watch them), but because when people are lined up on the streets to watch the parade, the lines for all the rides are much shorter! Now if they cut the parade time down, the rest of us won't get as much of a benefit from that anymore.

  7. I agree with all of your comments! You all know how much i love WDW, but we can't continue like this, with all these cuts, sudden changes, rides closures... And they even raised the price! Come on! We need somebody to clean all this mess!

  8. Maybe it is shorter due to the heat. Or, maybe it is shorter because the college students who work at Disney during the school year are not there so they don't have as many Cast Members in the summer.
I believe OTPN has consistently taken on a negative tone over the last few months. If you have such a problem with Disney policy then don't go there. Quit thinking your opinion is beneficial to the operation of major established theme parks. You obviously don't have any work experience to back up your claims of making the parks 'better' for everyone!

  9. I am sorry you think something like that. I always as positive as I can, but in this case I just said that I'm seeing a "fall of quality" in Disney. It seems like they are reconsidering many things, confusing everybody...
Again, I am a TRUE fan of theme parks, and especially Disney, but with that being said, I am not one of the people that say "Disney is the best, whatever they do is ok with me"...
And I've NEVER EVER said that I would make "the parks 'better' for everyone"... How could I do something like that? I also reported the feelings of many WDWMagic members (HUGE Disney fans too), which are saddened by all these decisions Disney has made recently...
Of course, this may change soon.
Again, I'm sorry that you think something like that. Should I just then post updates without writing my opinion? i could do that. Just tell me.

  11. Stay as you are evryone is allowed to have there own opinion and I also believe you are always honest and usually positive.
If someone does not agree its open to everyone to leave a comment.

  12. Thanks! You are absolutely right. Everyone has his/her own opinions, and I always urge everybody to leave comments or feedback if they don't agree (or agree) to my opinions...
I'm very open to other's opinions!
And again, I am positive most of the times, but when it's necessary I have to make our readers know that maybe they're doing something in a way that is not clear... that's all.
    Anyway, thanks for the comments.

  13. I think anybody who has some common sense could appreciate something or some place and yet speak truthfully or give a pros and cons scenario or opinion.

'' I am not one of the people that say (Disney is the best, whatever they do is ok with me)''~

I'm really glad you said that, I hate, again hate, when people can't say anything that may be perceived as negative or as unnecessary. I think people take the Disney thing way too personally, like someone was talking about their Mamas or something. I see it also when they talk about the other parks, I read at other page someone asking about if it what was better to spend more time at Disney Land or Disney World in the same trip. Replied was, "California is great but in Orlando is pretty much just Disney and nothing more..." I was like, really. Really?

I also like that you considered yourself a Theme Park fan. Me too. There appears to be the TP-fan and the Disney only fan.

I think your comments have become a lot more critical. Yes. But so what? You have a right to voice your opinion too. Just cause you have the site is not like you should said is all Rainbows and Butterflies, here or there, when it isn't. By the way I've read you becoming a lot more critical of Epcot too. Which the regulars here know, you love Epcot more than Mickey Mouse himself! Lol.

In my opinion I don't go to Disney every year but I've been going every couple of years since 1995 and looking for news and pics from home since a few years back, (almost daily) and I've never seen so much stuff like they have at MK with the Expansion and all the updates to the rides. Not 1 time, in all the times I've gone so many things have been either close or under wraps. I've gone always in High Season. But still it was high season, like it is or was until recently while those riees were being worked on.

That's the problem with the truth that being a real truth or stated in form of an opinion. It's cruel, is hard is honest, is not supposed to fit in peoples glazed view of the World. People don't like the truth they avoid it, that's one of the reason so many people get drunk. To avoid reality. To avoid the Truth, cause a lot of time the truth stinks.

Other people have a right to their opinions. So do you to yours. Besides if they don't know that you went there all the way from Italy, cause you love it there so much, and go almost every single day to those parks. They should just get their facts...
