MK 08/07 update (PART 2)

Here's Part 2 of the update

More pictures:

"It's a small World" is now closed for refurbishment:

Nice sign!:

The entrance will be moved where it was originally (next to Pinocchio's Village House):

....Here:

more works on Peter Pan:

Fantasyland Expansion pictures:

Dumbo has received a new wait time clock (which looks very nice):

This looks new too!:

Works continue on Winnie the Pooh's queue:

Strangely there are two flags that look new (or maybe I never noticed them before):

The queue is coming toward us!! It will be enormous!! (maybe bigger than the ride itself, and that would be great, because it's themed, so it's an extension of the ride!):

What do I see here?:

New name for the TTA:

It's now the "Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover", or "TTA Peoplemover" or just "Peoplemover":

The new sign looks great!!:

another new sign:

Thanks for watching! See you soon!

  1. A) So I really wish the old terminal for the SkyWay could be used for something other than stroller parking. Although it suits that purpose fine, it seems like such a waste of something so thoroughly themed.

    B) The walkway through Fantasyland has always seemed claustrophobic to me, but with all the construction, I feel the crush just looking at photos, I couldn't imagine actually being there.

    C) Disney has a wonderful 3D rendering of WDW for Google Earth, it gives a much better idea of where the new entrance for Small World will be.

  3. Fixed!

@ Graveslids: I would love to see something going to the old Skyway station (there was a rumor about a Pinocchio dark ride...), but i think it's too small the space behind it...
    Maybe a M&G.....

    Maybe not.... :-)

  4. I have no problem with a M&G going in there. Perhaps bringing out the classics and rotating them through there on a regular basis so as to find the "obscurata" that certain kids are drawn to.

Case in point is that the first trip we made with the kids, my daughter dressed as Drussila and was pleased as could be that she was able to take a photo with her. The cast member went out of her way to stay in character and rub it in the face of Anastasia which thoroughly amused everyone around.

But regardless, if less seen characters and (no offense) B-level characters were rotated at say 30-45 minute intervals there, kids would be able to meet those they hold dear. And wouldn't that make more sense than just dropping the stroller of for a 90 minute queue at Small World?

Beyond, I want a pic with Robin Hood and Little John, and the Skyway Terminal is a great location for that :)
