Via Napoli to open August 5th
The new Pizzeria in the Italian Pavilion at Epcot is going to open August 5th, 2010
Here's the complete news from the official Disney Parks Blog:
The new restaurant at the Italy Pavilion at Epcot, Via Napoli, will begin taking reservations Aug. 6 for Sept. 10, the official opening day. A “Grand Opening” celebration will be Aug. 5, but the restaurant will be in a “soft opening” walk-in phase with no reservations between then and Sept. 10.
More informations about the restaurant:
- The restaurant is table service only, no quick service.
- Disney Dining Plan is accepted (one point per person per meal).
- The hottest menu item is the wood-fired pizza, and it comes in three sizes: individual; large with eight slices; and a “mezzo metro,” or half meter, that is 12 slices.
- There is one menu for both lunch and dinner. Average check is around $23.
- There are several vegetarian options, including the pizza Margherita, fusilli pasta in a Southern Italian-style pesto, salads, minnestrone and more.
I was really sad when i read "The restaurant is table service only, no quick service"...
I thought it would be good to have the opportunity of having a quick service restaurant in the Italian Pavilion (always maintaining the food fresh)...
Anyway, here you are some recent pictures, (thanks again to Austin!!):

We'll have a full report of the restaurant as soon as we can!
Geez, they really stepped it up since I took them. I took the pictures on the 14th.
ReplyDeleteYes, did you see? That's amazing, they're really speeding up the works!!
ReplyDeleteEpcot is really going to look great once these restaurants are finished. To bad they wont do anything for Future World, say WoL and Imagination.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you... they should do something in future world too, by renewing Wonders of Life, Imagination, Circle of Life (with a new Disney Nature film), Odyssey, etc..
ReplyDeleteBut most of all, it's World Showcase that needs the most improvements (dark rides/coaster in China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Morocco, France, UK and Canada and also add new countries)....
The only countries I ever paid much time in was America, Mexico, Norway and France. The rest just bore me to death because they have nothing to do. The whole park needs alot of work. SSE descent, new rids in World Showcase, circle of life replacement, odyssey which I dont think I have ever even seen operating. Imagination overhaul, Wonders of Life replacement, and maybe something done to Universe of Energy. Informational yes but very boring.
