The Cat in the Hat doesn't spin anymore! Yesss!
Good morning everybody!
Today we're going to begin the day talking about a news that's great for me!
The Cat in the Hat ride doesn't spin anymore!
You may say: "so??", well... I asked them to do that!
Ok, now maybe I'm running too much, but I think they've considered my comments and feedbacks after all!
Indeed, I wrote them that I loved their dark rides, but that EACH AND EVERY ONE HAS TO SPIN???? For example: MIB-spins; SPIDERMAN-spins; THE CAT IN THE HAT-spins!! I personally don't like to spin. It doesn't feel good to me, it just make people dizzy.
So, do you think they've considered my comment or it's just a technical problem?
I hope the first one, of course, but if it's that, I'm sure that other people said the same thing.
Here's the news from Screamscape:
'Over the past week or so we’ve heard new reports that Cat In The Hat is no longer spinning the way it normally does during the ride. While the standard line to guests has typically been to indicate that there was an issue being worked on, others have pointed out that the park is actually testing out a new ultra mellow ride program. About the only time it spun at all was during the big closet spin scene, and even that is said to be toned way down. No word yet on when or even IF the normally spinning program will return...'
What do you think? Do you like to spin??

Personally, I think the crazy spinning is the only good thing about this ride! Without it I can't see it being much more than a basic tour through the Cat in the Hat story...
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with the other Anonymous. The only good thing about Cat in the Hat that I recall was the crazy spinning. Personally, they should simply repeatedly note in the queue about what kind of spin options and to ask their cast member about it.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's true.
ReplyDeleteI even discovered that you can ask them to turnoff the spinning for your car!!! I will try it next time, so I will have for sure a better understanding of the storyline of the ride (even though I've also seen the movie which is really funny if you ask me!)...
We rode it yesterday and noticed it was lacking in "spininess." I really kind of missed spinning, it was a bit bland with out any other movement beyond traveling through the story line. Though, the first time I ever rode, I was not expecting to be whipped around so much and my sunglasses went flying off the top of my head. A half hour of waiting at Guest Service for the ride to shut down at the end of the day so lost and found could retrieve said glasses is a good reminder to be aware of my belongings. There was about a dozen other pairs of glasses, so I wasn't alone, lol! IDK, I guess I'd like some spin, but not the level it was at originally.
