Accident at Tomorrowland Speedway!

Today, an accident occurred at Magic Kingdom, in the Tomorrowland section of the park.

Disney employee struck, injured by guest at Tomorrowland Speedway

"A Walt Disney World employee was injured this afternoon when he was struck by a guest driving a car at the Tomorrowland Speedway in the Magic Kingdom.

The worker was hospitalized with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The gas-powered ride vehicles used at the Tomorrowland Speedway have top speeds of 7 mph.

The accident occurred a little after 1 p.m. Disney temporarily shut down the attraction but it re-opened less than three hours later."
