New Turnstile Area Coming to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Work on a new main entrance turnstile area has begun near the globe at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Phase one (that will take place through Friday, July 7) will involve new permanent and temporary concrete sidewalks being poured as well as permanent fencing near the secondary box office. Most of this activity will be done at night to avoid impacting Guests. Work on phase two of the turnstile area will begin on Monday, July 17 after AAU Track and Field.

During phase two of this project, the main entrance promenade will be blocked and Guests will be directed around the work area on a temporary bypass sidewalk. The current entry turnstiles at the top of the hill will continue to operate as the park entry until the project is completed.

In addition to that, the front façade of Champion Stadium will be painted through June 30. This will cause additional impacts, as the stadium's main gates will be unavailable for periods of time. Signs will be present to help Guests navigate the area.
