Animal Kingdom Update: Central Hub Expansion (PART 2)
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is growing. As you will have seen in PART 1 of this update, the majority of Discovery Island is surrounded by construction walls, while work continues behind the scenes on the new Pandora: The World of AVATAR, and that's not all, of course. As you will see, plenty of work is also taking place in Africa (for the new Harambe Marketplace) and Asia (for the new Rivers of Light amphitheaters). Let's continue to take a look around:
A busy day at the Harambe Village:

Let's conclude with some photos of DinoLand U.S.A.:
And that is all for now. Before concluding, remember to like us on our official Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for live updates from the parks. I have to say, I'm a fan of the gallery but not in this form. I really think the lack of descriptions in the gallery images is a negative. That said my largest complaint with your site has always been the lack of links to higher resolution (bigger) photos.
ReplyDeleteAs for this update, Great shots. Thank you for keeping us up to date on park happenings and your continued diligence in keeping this site fresh and always improving.
I personally think the captions are important, so I'm sure I know what I'm looking at and I like the commentary your all provide seeing it first hand
ReplyDeleteDefinitely prefer the current method over the gallery, I love being able to just scroll down the page and read the captions. I also agree it would be nice to be able to view select images in a larger size sometimes
ReplyDeleteI like the current method just because of the captions, helps me understand what I am looking at
ReplyDeleteCurrent method all the way, complete with captions - it's what keeps me coming back here and sets you aside from competition.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, keep the current way, although I have to say that if we could click on a picture to view it larger, that would be a great addition. The other pictures are nice, but with no captions, it might be hard to figure out what we are looking at.

ReplyDeleteGoing to agree with everybody else. The captions are great and I missed them in the new way. Please keep the current method with the captions.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else. I like the current method where I can just scroll down the page
ReplyDeleteYes, Single photos with captions,
ReplyDeletePlease don't change something that isn't broken. Maybe even add more captions. It will make us feel that we are there when we can't be.
Thanks for the great photos as always.
I like the photos with the captions, but I also like having access to more photos in the gallery. Maybe move the gallery to the bottom of the page so I can see the photos with captions and then take a look to see if you have more photos of whatever area caught my attention?
ReplyDeleteI think the inclusion of captions is paramount. The new gallery feature is nice if captions could be included, and a higher resolution view upon clicking would be great. However, if the gallery choice would mean no more captions, I would be much less likely to visit your site.
ReplyDeleteI like the format the way it is with captions, don't need a photo gallery.
ReplyDeleteI really like the gallery, but like others have said, the lack of captions is a big enough drawback to not do it exclusively.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, if you could do both, that would be perfect, but seems like more work for not a lot of payoff.
3) FEATURE ONLY THE SINGLE PICTURES WITH CAPTIONS (NO CHANGE).
ReplyDeleteI prefer the site as is. I love the photos with the captions.
ReplyDeleteI prefer #3 (no change), but beggars can't be choosers, so I'll take whatever you give us.
ReplyDeleteI like the gallery but I like seeing your comments and captions so if they cannot be integrated into the gallery than I like how it is or having the option for both options.
ReplyDeleteLove your site! Thank you for all you do and keep up the great work! :)
sinlge Photos with comment, we need to see where in the Parks they are taken, New people to the site would not have a clue as to what area the photos are taken in, Galley looks good to but needs captions
ReplyDeleteNo change please! I think it is the best the way it is.
ReplyDeleteThe gallery would be good with captions. If you don't add captions to the gallery stick to what you already have. without the captions they are just pictures and you lose your the beauty of your updates.
ReplyDeleteI personally like the current format because of the captions. I don't think that the photo gallery is necessary.
ReplyDeleteI like the current format. Not just for captions but also it looks much better on the iPad I use to view your site.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was known throughout the internet, that galleries are awful. Keep the page format.
ReplyDeleteI the FEATURE BOTH THE GALLERY AND THE SINGLE PHOTOS WITH CAPTIONS idea,
ReplyDelete#3
ReplyDelete#3 & Captions are important.
