Universal Studios Update: Moving Forward (PART 2)
Welcome to PART 2 of this Universal Studios photo-report (PART 1 can be found HERE).
Let's continue to take a look around the London waterfront, which is taking shape very quickly:
Faux bricks:
Work in progress:
We very afraid to even only think about the fact that this building might be visible after the area opens:
The fact that the vertical bricks on top of the windows are vanned out has nothing to do with forced perspective, it's just how brick have been used on these kind of buildings.
ReplyDeleteThe fact the top windows are shorter then the row below is indeed forced perspective.
Kind of shocked they are making bricks with concrete. That looks like a lot of work.
I have a feeling they will keep the side of the building unthemed. For now. With how big this London section is gonna be, I can see them tearing down the fear factor theatre and either building a new theatre themed to fit with London or perhaps a new ride or something. Though I'm thinking a new theatre.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you've changed your mind and are now covering Harry Potter with this whole page dedicated to Potter. Thank you.
ReplyDelete@Last Anonymous: Actually, as we explained many times, we cover this expansion because it represent London (may it be real or fictional), so we have no problems with it.
ReplyDeleteThat said, we are happy you enjoyed the update!
Love this update!!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I would like to point out that I love OTPN regardless of the fact that you refuse to display "Magical things" i.e The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. But Let me point out that Walt Disney World's whole concept is based on....well Magic. And if you want to go into the argument that "Disney displays a different type of magic" then I would have to say that magic is magic and there are not different types. Magic is fiction and is meant to bring people out from the real world and into a fantasy. To give people a break from their bills, bosses, their annoying neighbor. Magic, Wizards, Mickey Mouse are objects of fiction. I understand that there are other theme park blogs, but they all suck compared to yours. So how about you make your readers happy and cover ALL of the theme park. And not just the parts that you find 'Natural'.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I will continue to visit OTPN I just wish you would cover everything. THANKS CJ
