Epcot: Future World Update (PART 1)


Hello Orlando Theme Park News Readers, and welcome to this new Epcot photo-report! This afternoon we will focus solely on Future World (not including the new Starbucks location that recently opened in the central Plaza, Fountain View). Let us start to take a quick look around the park during a very quiet time of the year:


Here you are a few photos of the majestic Spaceship Earth:






The new entrance sign:


We love these hints to the original EPCOT Center:


Let's now take a quick look inside the ride itself, since it recently received a very quick refurbishment:


It looks like many of the lights throughout the attraction were either changed or upgraded:


Lightning:




Sorry for the blurry photos (we used no flash), but notice how the painted background in the Egyptian scene is much brighter now. This could be due to a light upgrade:





You could smell the fire, but no smoke is coming out. We miss that special effect:

There's really nothing new to report. It's as stale as usual:

  1. The track for SSE is wrecked. Every 10 seconds you go over a bump and it makes a noise, very annoying

  2. You already reported the lights at Pirates at MK where much (to) brighter. Is this with the same bad result or is it better?

  3. @Don: Actually, the improved lighting works at Spaceship Earth, while it is way too bright in some scenes at Pirates of the Caribbean, as you can see the ceiling (that was painted black to be virtually invisible to Guests...
