I love these updates.
ReplyDeletethese pictures TOTALLY reinforce our decision to avoid peak tiems each trip!
ReplyDeleteit probably sounded like a great idea: spending the holidays at Disney.
ReplyDeleteinstead you spend the entire vacation queuing.
i can't understand why anyone would want to put themselves through that when they know it'll be really busy. i can only presume some people think "oh, everyones heard its really busy and will stay away, so really it won't be that bad" and get suckered every time!
What most people do not know is that Disney starts to celebrate Christmas in the beginning of November and to go during the week of Christmas is crazy busy and you spend most of your time waiting...thats not how i would like to spend my holiday when the parties in november is way less busy.
ReplyDeleteDear crowds, the decorations are up for months! Don't go the last week of Christmas. Sincerely, the fans of OTPN
ReplyDeleteCrazy... We went for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween in October for like 4 hours and walked onto every ride. Even if I didn't live near the park, I wouldn't go during Christmas time!
ReplyDeleteGreatly appreciate you being willing to go on such a crowded day to showcase the madness at Magic Kingdom on NYE. It is really incredible to see how many people are willing to put up with that mess, however its just like New York City on New Year's Eve. Its something cool to do maybe once in your life despite the huge crowds, at least you can say you were at the most Magical Place on Earth on the most Wonderful night of the year.
ReplyDeleteWe are Orlando locals with annual passes and we went to Hollywood Studios on Christmas Day Epcot on New Year's Eve. Yes, it was crowded, but on a day like that we do not expect to do attractions like Soarin and Test Track. Instead, we are there for the atmosphere, live music, holiday events, food and fireworks. We had a great time, and were are still able to do some smaller attractions. If you're traveling from far and want to do everything then you should probably avoid this busy time.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned Fantasy in the Sky...should that have been Wishes??? Or are they doing different fireworks right now?
ReplyDeleteFantasy in the Sky is the special midnight fireworks that it is performed on December 30 and 31 of every year at the Magic Kingdom Park, Anonymous! On those dates, Wishes is performed at about 8:30 p.m.
