Media Events for New Fantasyland & Operational Info

As all of our readers certainly know, the countdown to the official Grand Opening of the much-awaited New Fantasyland is fast approaching  There are only three days left, and you an bet that there will be a lot of media coverage on December 5 and 6, 2012. For that reason there will be some operational adjustments in the Magic Kingdom Park. Please, take note of these important changes:

Due to the various operational changes for the week, there will be four versions of the Magic Kingdom Times Guide (Sunday-Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday-Saturday).

Wednesday, December 5:

• Adjusted Park operating hours: 9 a.m.-7 p.m. (with a private, after-hours media event)
• Enchanted Forest (including Be Our Guest Restaurant, Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid and Enchanted Tales with Belle) will not operate so that the areas can be readied for the private after-hours media event.
• Mickey’s PhilharMagic (closed)
• Storybook Circus (open 9 a.m.-3 p.m.)
• The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel (open 9 a.m.-6 p.m.)
• Wishes will be presented at 6 p.m.

Thursday, December 6:

The fun continues throughout the day, with special moments for media and Guests as well as radio and television broadcasts taking place.

• Be Our Guest Restaurant will not operate that day, as it will be the site of remote broadcasts so the invited media can share the excitement with their viewers and listeners.
• The Enchanted Forest and Storybook Circus will be open for an exclusive media preview 7-8 a.m., opening to our Guests afterward for the morning Extra Magic Hour.
• The grand reveal of New Fantasyland will take place at 10 a.m. on the Castle Forecourt Stage.
• The broadcast of this event will be available on channel 37 on Guest in-room TVs.
